Paths cross

Our paths crossed

But not for long this time

No opportunities

To walk together

Down a common road

Our crossing was brief

We journey on richer

For meeting on our way

Fleeting fun possibilities

Paths that cross once

now diverge but paths have

a habit of meeting again

so until then journey safe

take time to enjoy the view

and enjoy your reality

in every step on your way

farewell fellow traveler.

Dengue Fever

Dengue stews you man

The fevers are fun

The hot and cold sweats

Its the muscles that crack

wanting to tear

Bones from sinew

that’s no fun

the fevers drift on and

time travel becomes possible

days drift by in seconds

though so much seems to pass

through your brain that

belongs to the bugs

strange shapes morph

in and out lightness

lavalamp-esque

you are a passive observer

away with the fairies

enduring their trip

the bugs are in control

thirst raging throat

strangely parched

drinking drinking drinking

and still you are dry

at last it seems they take

some time out

body is in decline but

feeling better somehow

you reach the bottom

then start to climb

slow steps exhausted

body been through

the mill chewed

and stewed and spat out

how long can you sleep

how many days to get straight

advice and kindness

don’t rush be gentle

this is not a race

it is not a disgrace

this is the tropics

and this shit happens!

The Eyes say so much

Eyes say so much

Without ever having to speak

Look deep into them

And you will find what you seek

Words say one thing and

Can be understood in many ways

Listen to them but look into the eyes

Really to hear what they say

Eyes say so much

Without ever having to speak

Look deep into them

And you will find what you seek

A persons’ truth and their light

Is found in the depth of their eyes

Watch them when they smile

To see the inner souls whimsical sighs

Eyes say so much

Without ever having to speak

Look deep into them

And you will find what you seek
