carefully woven words

When I talk I tend to blather
words come out in a stream
rough wool being spun into yarn
the conversation just flows
making connections
and strengthening just like
the fibres twsting into wool
the sum greater than the parts

It is different for me when writing
more time to reflect and choose
patterns and colours to reflect
the mood the tone and moment
weaving a story making a picture
making clothe that covers
you need to be careful not to conceal
the truth with what you write
