Life: an Acting school

As we grow we learn to mimic
Children model what they see
at home and in their schools
what they learn is how to be

How to be for others so they fit
what works to allow acceptance
to have friends and to behave
correctly in all circumstance

Others chose to rebel and resist
and struggle to find a way
to be true to themselves and
from their path, not wanting to stray

As our age and wisdom ripen
and we see with grace from above
We see the truth of our life
to really be yourself is to be love

You can not be any one else
but who you truly are
you must to recognise your gift
and acknowledge your own star

Those who are themselves
who have the humility to act
are unique and wonderful
there is nothing in life they lack
