What are shadows?
How is a shadow cast?
How far does it reach?
How long does it last?

The shadow forms
when the source of light
is partially obscured
hidden from sight

the closer you stand
to the light your sun
the further the darkness
creeps crawls and runs

You stand and stay
confused by doubt and fear
staying casts the darkness
all you can see is near

Most of the shadows
we see in our lifetime
are formed by standing
in front of our sunshine.

We face out and all
we see is shadow casts
dark and limited views
a stillness grips and sets fast

turning we see
our brightness
our source
our lightness

Do not be afraid
of seeing yourself
burning in glory
walk in and embrace
the heart of this light
then turn and face
the world together
all colourful,
visible and light
