Attitude at Latitude

Inspired by a book title "The right attitude to rain"

North
Grey clouds gather
and lead like pearls of rain shatter
the pavements soon glisten wet and black
People with umbrellas and papers scatter
Running for shelter in doorways
Waiting for the stormy rain to pass

A hinderance to a journey nothing else
Thoughtless crowds angry at natures poor show

Change lattitude
different attitude

South
Lift up your face to the water laden sky
let the falling rain wash away the grime
Strip off your shirt and feel the drops
streak across your face and chest
mixing with the warm tears of joy
Spiritual and cleansing it is freely given
Dust giving to soil and seeds to life

Puddles are games waiting for childrens feet
Natures bounty now ready to grow

Glad you liked this. I had my attitude shaped in Zimbabwe in 1984 after seeing the wonderful impact that rain can have when ending a three year drought. The joy was so infectious
